A large box laminated from solid mahogany and maple. The top of the hinged lid is veneered with a fine mahogany flame, the interior with sycamore. The box has a lock and the interior is divided in variously sized compartments.

FINISH: French polish

CARE: Avoid extremes of heat; avoid placing the box in a damp place; do not store anything damp in the box. Any of these actions may damage the box beyond repair. Polish occasionally with a good quality beeswax polish.
Wood is a natural product; the material used to construct the box has been selected to give the best stability consistent with its decorative aspect. Highly decorative boxes are more likely to exhibit some movement at joints or between veneers. In a centrally heated environment the box may show signs of cyclical movement following the heating / non-heating seasons.
Avoid forcing the lid back too far, this may damage the hinges.
