Built on an mdf carcass this box is covered externally and internally with a stunning unidentified burr with iroko trimming. The lid carries a cube pattern in walnut, pear and ash. Nickel plated sidebar hinges.

FINISH: Melamine lacquer

CARE: Avoid extremes of heat; avoid exposing the boxes to prolonged dampness. Can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Polish occasionally with a good quality beeswax polish.
Wood is a natural product; the material used to construct the box has been selected to give the best stability consistent with its decorative aspect. Highly decorative boxes are more likely to exhibit some movement at joints or between veneers. In a centrally heated environment the box may show signs of cyclical movement following the heating / non-heating seasons.
Avoid forcing the box open too far, this may damage the hinges.
