A black lacquered sunburst box built on an mdf carcass. The sun burst rays in zebrano and sycamore are set in a walnut surround. Cedar forms the solar disc. Lift out tray. Nickel plated sidebar hinges.

FINISH: Melamine lacquer

CARE: Avoid extremes of heat; avoid exposing the boxes to prolonged dampness. Can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Polish occasionally with a good quality beeswax polish.
Wood is a natural product; the material used to construct the box has been selected to give the best stability consistent with its decorative aspect. Highly decorative boxes are more likely to exhibit some movement at joints or between veneers. In a centrally heated environment the box may show signs of cyclical movement following the heating / non-heating seasons.
Avoid forcing the box open too far, this may damage the hinges.
