A small box in solid American black walnut . The lift-off lid features a mini-chequer board in cherry and sycamore set in a zebrano frame. Pearwood veneer completes the inside base and lid.

FINISH: Melamine lacquer

CARE: Avoid extremes of heat; avoid exposing the box to prolonged dampness. Can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Polish occasionally with a good quality beeswax polish.
Wood is a natural product; the material used to construct the box has been selected to give the best stability consistent with its decorative aspect. Highly decorative boxes are more likely to exhibit some movement at joints or between veneers. In a centrally heated environment the box may show signs of cyclical movement following the heating / non-heating seasons.
The lift off lid should be fitted such that the two small circular depressions (one on the lid one on the base) are aligned.
