A small box in solid maple with a lift-off lid. The basketweave pattern is in teak, sycamore and walnut in a poplar surround. Poplar also lines the lid and base internally.

CARE: Avoid extremes of heat; avoid exposing the box to prolonged dampness. Polish occasionally with a good quality beeswax polish.
Wood is a natural product; the material used to construct the box has been selected to give the best stability consistent with its decorative aspect. Highly decorative boxes are more likely to exhibit some movement at joints or between veneers. In a centrally heated environment the box may show signs of cyclical movement following the heating / non-heating seasons.
The lift off lid should be fitted such that the two small circular depressions (one on the lid one on the base) are aligned.
