Decorative woodwork inspired by Moroccan craftsmanship
Decorative Craftwork is a modern artisan brand inspired by decorative woodworking and Moroccan craftsmanship. We bring this inspiration into the home through wooden boxes and decorative pieces, with a focus on natural grain and the detail of wood inlay.
Our inspiration
Our direction draws on the patterns and materials of Moroccan craft. We are especially drawn to the character of thuya wood and the way marquetry brings contrasting pieces of wood together to create a design.
We want these details to feel at home in everyday spaces. A wooden box can hold jewellery or personal keepsakes, while a decorative piece can bring warmth to a shelf, bedside table or quiet corner of a room.
The detail in decorative woodwork
Wood grain gives a surface its movement and character. Inlay adds another layer of detail, using differences in tone and direction to form a pattern. These are the qualities that shape our interest in decorative woodwork.
